All Goes Well at UEA
First off just like to say hello to all who will be reading this and I hope life is treating them as well as it is treating me at uni. Second apologies for such a late first update, some minor technical difficulties, which are now sorted!
What can I say about uni life? Well for a start having now had plenty of time to settle in I must say that my course is as interesting and enjoyable as I had hoped however I do admit that the first year of study is not as time consuming and daunting as I first thought. In fact with only 8 hours of lecture and seminars a week i have plenty of time in whch to indulge in many other non-academic activities. These have in the past weeks involved a series of evenings spent in the union bar with my flatmates, in particular James, whose parents own ther own traditional sweet shop (cant wait to visit him at home :-D), and Kate, who so far remains unbeaten at the pool table.
As was expected my first port of call during freshers week was the SportsMart where all of the clubs at UEA attempted to attract new members. I left SportsMart having joined both the UEA Hockey Club (which occupies my monday and friday evenings with training and saturdays for matches) and Aye-Aye, the Ultimate Frisbee, yes frisbee team. (Ask for more information via email or when I return home at Christmas) Now having been an active member for several weeks I can assure all that I have no regrets about joining either, especially given the social organisation and size of the Hockey club and the fact you can noramally find a memeber anywhere on Campus, (great if your at a loose end looking for something to do).
On a less active side of life i am also enjoying being a part of the Christian Union and hope soon to become involved in the worship team for meetings on a tuesday night. The CU have been a great help in encouraging new students to find a church to call home when in Norwich and I am blessed to have been able to plant my spiritual roots at King's Community Church, http://www.kings-norwich.com which is a member of the New Horizons Famly of Churches. There is a large student basis at King's and through this have been able to join a thursday night student cell group.
As you can see student life is treating me well and i hope you will join me in praising God for:

As you can see student life is treating me well and i hope you will join me in praising God for:
- My enjoyable and comfortable first few months at UEA
- The oppotunity to meet new people and enjoy my social activities
- Guiding me to Kings Church and the cell group I have become a part of
I would also ask that you join me in Praying for
- The continuing success of Student Alpha on campus and all those associated with it
- Those whose hearts and minds are open to the gospel, that they will come to know God and Jesus
- The upcoming Eklesia outreach events in the Student Union
- Continued strengthening of my faith even in difficult situations
