It's still warm in Plymouth

Hi, I will take the liberty of posting on behalf of myself and Mr May as he appears to be far too busy to sit at his lap top for 5 minutes. Both of us are having a good time. I went through a bit of a home sick period but this was cured by a quick visit back to Reading and I've felt a lot happier since. I'm finding it hard to get excited about a couple of the modules I have chosen for this year but hopefully this will change soon. Pete seems to have quite a heavy workload and is also busy trying to play his way into the Badminton team, he hasn't lost a game yet but it is very competitive! We didn't make it to CU during freshers week but I went along to a student worship service at a local church which was really good. Hopefully Pete will be able to come along soon.

Praise for:
- new friends and a comfortable start to the year.

Pray for:
- enthusiasm as the work load becomes heavier and deadlines loom.
- maintaining strong faith in an environment so much less simple than home.
- guidance as I consider whether to take a work placement year next year or continue at Plymouth and simply take a work-based learning module.

  • Great to hear from you Sarah. I hope you warm more to the options you have chosen as the term progresses. Doing a year in industry really does help in the competeive graduate job market. It has certainly given Linda a really good insight into industry and help her focus on what she would like to do.
Please send our love and best wishes to Pete.
Dave has visited quite a few churches - including one which is held in a pub - perhaps that would appeal to Pete! His latest plan is to visit the Brazilian church in Manchester to practice his Portuguese.
    Praying for you both.

    love Christine and Andrew
